Hello Deviants,
Geez, what a bad start! I didn't even make it past the gate...!!!
Being a working mom, my deviant time has to be on weekends, (because I conk out too early during the weeknights!) A few weeks ago, I caught a bad eye infection. This is a recurring problem for me, so I just treated it with my current meds. After 5 days, with no relief, I went to the doctor. He told me the meds I was using didn't work on this bacteria, and while I thought I was healing it, it was having a picnic on my eyeball. I now have a nice hole in the center of my cornea (oh, joy!)
By that time, I could barely open my eye, let alone see thru it. So the doc gave me good drugs and I got better. But I was off computers, tvs, lights, radios, (no, wiat a minute, I could do those..)sunshine, and anything else that hurt the stabbing pain in my eye. Finally, the bactieria got full, or the ants and bugs got the better of their picnic, I'm not sure...they went away and I recovered. So, weeks later, I can now use the comptuer again. The good news is that the hole won't impair my vision. (Whew!)
Thanks to Izumi Rules 88 for teaching me how to add to my friends list. It takes me a lttle while to do this, I'm not as savvy as my daughters, but I'm plugging along!
My thanks to all of you who have so kindly welcomed me, added me to YOUR friends list, and made me feel at home. What a wonderful site this is! I love it already! I haven't finished adding my own friends to my list, but I will keep at it. My eyes are still a little sore, so they get easily irritated (as in red, not mad, tee hee!
I'll need to limit my time on DA.
Please know I haven't deserted the ship, I'm just sailing thru rough waters and I'll be there soon...

for some reason i can't seem to finish a message to you. I wanted to express my sorrow about your aunt's death. I know nothing can be said to ease you pain. But i also believe that she'll always be with you and, in time, you will find comfort and your sadness will lessen. I also head that you had a birthday. Even though its a dark chapter in your life, I hope you had a happy day and found joy! AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
